Every Haircut absorbs oil in the Gulf!!!

Every haircut that happens in L’Etoile, both Jenkintown and Manayunk, gets sent to the Gulf of Mexico to soak up oils leaking from BP.  Another cool part is that we are partnered with Canine Clippers on Cresson Street collecting fur from their grooming sessions!

What they do is either make tight mats (like a wool door mat) from the hair/fur and drop directly into the water. Or they stuff it into donated nylon stockings and create tubing or “booms” to do the same job.They are collecting all over the country and outside of the US for this effort. We are so excited to be part of the relief effort in helping fix the worst oil spill in HISTORY!
