Cathleen, our General Manager, is a candidate, on behalf of Salon L’Etoile and Spa, for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man and Woman of the Year. This campaign runs from April 8th to June 17th, 2010. We are hoping you and/or your business are able to help us with a contribution in either monetary form, purchasing ad space or by donating an auction item for the final day fundraiser event. Your support means more research, more advocacy, more education and better quality of life for blood cancer patients and their families.
Since 1949, LLS has invested in more than $680 million in the best researchers in the world investigating cures and treatments for hematologic malignancies. Many LLS supported advances help beyond the blood cancer patients for whom they were first developed. New treatments have enhanced and prolonged many lives.
In the US, more than 900,000 people suffer from these blood cancers. Leukemia itself causes more deaths than any other cancer among children under 20. You or your business’ participation can demonstrate, in a tangible way, your commitment and good will toward patients and the family and friends that care for them as well as allow your business to receive exposure to our other loyal donors.
